I took these photographs near the end of my 1-year stay in Paris. What began as a very daunting experience of being 10,722 km away from home morphed into an exploration of independence, vulnerability and openness. Paris felt right for me and I had wanted to stay but reality is tough. Perhaps I am romanticising Paris but isn’t home a place where you can be yourself without expectation and judgment?
I wondered if anyone else felt this sense of longing that couldn’t be explained. Do we miss the place, or do we miss being ourselves at that place?
